本種は日本に広く分布し、海外では台湾からも記録されている。様々な植物から採集されている。長崎と沖縄のムべから記載されたH. mube Kudo, 1992は、Wangら(2020)により最近本種のシノニムとされた。

This species is widespread in Japan and is also recorded from Taiwan, and is collected from many kinds of the plants. Recently it is synonymized with H. mube Kudo, 1992 described from Stauntonia hexaphylla of Nagasaki and Okinmawa by Wang et al. (2020).
